A Record Over a Cup of Coffee

Stopped by Starbucks this morning for my usual latte.

Just a quick coffee run. But in those five minutes, an entire moment of my life unfolded.

"God is in the details." — Ludwig Mies van der Rohe German architect. A master of modernist architecture, famous for his "less is more" philosophy.

A Moment in a Cup

"The coffee this morning was especially good."

Why was it good? Was it the nice weather? Did you sleep well? Was your favorite song playing? Were you with someone?

Everything about that moment is contained in that cup of coffee.

"Small things don't add up to become big things. Small things are everything." — Antoine de Saint-Exupery French author and aviator. Author of The Little Prince.

Short But Meaningful

"Americano at the cafe near the office. The barista smiled and greeted me."

Later, this one line will bring back that cafe, that barista, that morning. It doesn't have to be a major event. Small moments are worth logging too.

Small Logs Become Language

Log a cup of coffee in Mimilog. That short sentence transforms into a foreign language.

"The coffee this morning was especially good."
"The barista smiled and greeted me."

Small moments of daily life become language learning.
