Terms of Service

Article 1 (Purpose)

These Terms of Service govern the conditions and procedures for using the mimilog service (the "Service") provided by Kim & Jang Korea (the "Operator"), and establish the rights and obligations between the Operator and users.

Article 2 (Definitions)

The terms used in these Terms are defined as follows:

1. "Service": The mimilog mobile application and related web services provided by the Operator
2. "User": Any person who agrees to these Terms and uses the Service
3. "Log": Short daily entries written by users within the Service
4. "Learning Content": Foreign language learning materials such as translations, patterns, and conversation scripts generated by AI based on user logs
5. "AI-Generated Content": All content automatically generated using artificial intelligence technologies

Article 3 (Use of Service)

1. Registration and Usage Conditions

• Users must agree to these Terms to use the Service.
• Users under the age of 14 require parental or guardian consent.
• Users must provide accurate information when registering.

2. Account Management

• Users are responsible for safely managing their account information.
• Users must immediately notify the Operator if unauthorized use of their account is discovered.

Article 4 (Content Rights)

1. Copyright of User Content

Users retain copyright to the logs they create.

2. AI-Generated Content

Regarding AI-generated learning content (translations, patterns, conversation scripts, etc.):

• Users may freely use such content for personal learning purposes.
• Copyright of AI-generated content is subject to applicable laws and may not be protected by copyright.
• Please review applicable laws and AI service provider terms before commercial reuse.

3. Rights Granted to Operator

By agreeing to these Terms, users grant the following rights to the Operator:

• Personally identifiable information will always be anonymized.
• Users may withdraw consent at any time.
• Content already used prior to consent withdrawal is excluded from withdrawal.
• Consent withdrawal can be requested through the settings menu or by emailing the Operator.

Article 5 (AI Service Characteristics)

1. AI Technology Usage Notice

This Service utilizes external artificial intelligence services for features such as translation, learning content generation, and AI conversation. The AI service providers used may change for service improvement, and users will be notified of significant changes.

2. Limitations of AI Content

• AI-generated content may not be 100% accurate.
• Translations, grammar explanations, etc. may contain errors.
• Please do not rely solely on AI content for important decisions.

3. Educational Purpose

This Service is designed as a foreign language learning aid. It does not replace formal education or certification.

Article 6 (Prohibited Activities)

Users must not engage in the following activities:

1. Illegal Content Creation

• Content that defames or damages others' reputation
• Pornographic, violent, or hateful content
• Copyright-infringing content

2. Service Abuse

• Interfering with normal service operations
• Collecting other users' personal information
• Registering with false information

3. Technical Abuse

• Reverse engineering, decompiling, or attempting to extract source code
• Mass requests using automated tools
• Exploiting security vulnerabilities

4. AI Service Terms Violation

• Using AI-generated content to train competing AI models
• Violating the terms of service of AI service providers used by the Service

Article 7 (Paid Services)

1. Subscription Services

• Some features may be provided through paid subscriptions.
• Subscription fees, billing cycles, and included features are announced within the Service.

2. Payment

• Payments are processed through app stores (Apple App Store, Google Play Store).
• Payment-related inquiries follow the policies of the respective app store.

3. Refunds

• Refunds follow each app store's refund policy.
• Separate compensation will be considered for service unavailability due to Operator fault.

4. Price Changes

• Subscription prices may change with at least 30 days' notice.
• Changed prices apply to existing subscribers from the next billing cycle.

Article 8 (Service Changes and Suspension)

1. Service Changes

• The Operator may add, modify, or remove service features.
• Important changes will be announced within the Service or via email.

2. Service Suspension

The Operator may temporarily or permanently suspend the Service in the following cases:

• System maintenance and repairs
• Force majeure such as natural disasters or national emergencies
• Service termination for business reasons

3. Prior Notice

• Service suspension will be notified at least 30 days in advance.
• In urgent cases, notice may be given afterward.

Article 9 (Disclaimer)

1. AI Content Accuracy

The Operator does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of AI-generated content. The Operator is not liable for damages arising from the use of AI content.

2. Service Interruption

The Operator is not liable for service interruptions due to natural disasters, system failures, or problems with third-party services (AI APIs, cloud services, etc.).

3. User Content

The Operator is not liable for legal issues arising from content created by users.

4. Third-Party Services

The Operator is not liable for external links or third-party services connected within the Service.

Article 10 (Dispute Resolution)

1. Governing Law

These Terms shall be interpreted and applied in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Korea.

2. Dispute Resolution

• Disputes related to service use shall be resolved through mutual consultation.
• If consultation fails, the Seoul Central District Court shall have jurisdiction.

Article 11 (Terms Modification)

1. Modification Procedure

• The Operator may modify these Terms when necessary.
• Modified Terms will be announced within the Service or via email.

2. Effective Date

• Modified Terms take effect 7 days after announcement.
• Users who do not agree to modified Terms may discontinue use and withdraw.
